Well, close to the beaches. Think we will stay for a week in LA and then travel further.
Maybe a hotel with a swimmingpool if possible and a trendy design hotel, a 5* hotel. Not for the super rich people but still chic .
If there’s a hotel downtown with swimmingpool we don’t need to be close to the beaches.

Ira Hope you received our recommendations. Near the beach try Casa Del Mar and Shutters which both have pools and downtown the Ritz which has a rooftop pool. There is the Montage in Beverly Hills which is trendy and the new C hotel in Beverly Hills which is very trendy. Check them out online. NJ
