5 November Musts In Time For The Holidays
There’s certainly a chill in the air just as the holiday season is officially around the corner. That was my cue for a few cold weather musts and lusts including an exciting new designer we’ve discovered, key holiday trends, and our personal binge pick for ‘cuffin’ as we head into the long Thanksgiving weekend. See if you agree with our short list.
- Sally LaPointe
My latest obsession are the Fall and Holiday looks from Sally LaPointe. Dubbed the “Queen of Street Style“, and worn by the likes of Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, I actually threw an incredible LA dinner party to fête the designer just two nights ago in Hollywood. Her designs are a modern take on everyday elegance. Cut from the softest cashmere, her rib-knit sweaters detailed with fur sleeves are her signature look that sells out everywhere. I’ll be wearing mine with denim on cooler days. Wait. I’m already doing that.
2. A Chunky Sweater
A theme is happening here. I love pairing sweaters and denim. This season, my other go-to is a dramatic chunky sweater including skin baring cutouts. Monse is my new favorite as I love to mix and match this look with denim, slacks and an a-line skirt.
3. Something Velvet
It’s so wonderful this trend is back. Velvet is the perfect everything is old is new again solution for the holiday. Rich and sexy, go for a great mini or a total look with trousers with a forest green Juan Carlos Obando ensemble as a new favorite.
4. Shine
It’s party dress season and this year it’s all about shine. So get your metallic sparkle on. Two of my personal favorites are the dress of the season from Emilia Wickstead which I recently wore on the Red Carpet for the Porter Magazine Incredible Women Awards in Hollywood. If you didn’t the memo, open backs are the sexy twist this season.
5. Guilty Pleasure
Obsessed. Louis the Sun King is back for the second season of Versailles. I was lucky enough to tour his private apartments during Paris fashion week. Pinch me because it’s not over. I can relieve the fantasy. Cuffing weather. If you don’t know them, GO Movies has the entire season to kick off your winter binge watching.
