Espadrilles Go Glam!

We’re big fans of the Espadrille and this summer even more so. A shoe style that’s over 4,000 years old, has suddenly gone glam.  This year a slew of our favorite designers from Miu Miu to Rene Caovilla have re-imagined the humble espadrille in everything from luxe metallic fabrications to bejeweled crystal-embellished adorned looks (on denim no less!)  The trend has taken hold so beautifully that statement espadrilles are showing up the streets of LA (and we’re having quite a heat wave) to resorts worldwide.  They’re our new must-have.

B & B style note: If you indulge, the best way to rock them is pairing them for evening with a long flowing maxi-skirt to a dressy look with rolled up jeans or a romper for day. Other favorite looks include the cheetah patterns and espadrilles with dressy toecaps or in all over in silver, gold or sequins.
