For New Year’s: Viva Las Vegas: Mandarin Oriental + City Center
It’s that time of year again and Vegas is always a great choice for New Year’s but it seems to be getting better with every visit. I was on the move for weeks and Las Vegas was the last stop for a series of meetings. Lucky me! There are so many choices in Las Vegas and this time I stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas. The rooms and suites are impeccable with stunning views and modern accents; and honestly, there isn’t a hotel with better service, food and a more quiet Vegas experience (if that’s possible). The caveat is there is no casino. But, you are a walk away from the Aria for gambling (which is also a sensational hotel choice). The new City Center is right there for about the best retail selection in the world from Prada, Tom Ford, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Balenciaga , Cavilli and Gucci flagships. No expense was spared for this visually stunning retail masterpiece with many one-of-kind items available only in Vegas. So what happens in Vegas just may actually go home with you from one of these shops. The new Cosmopolitan Hotel is also scheduled to open shortly after a New Year’s Eve bash.
