Runway to Red Carpet Beauty

Ever wonder what influences the Red Carpet? We do. Recently Karlie Kloss debuted her semi-radical haircut nicknamed the “chop” (which we featured earlier this week). It suddenly dawned on us that she might also be the inspiration behind the great look Michelle Dockery, of Downtown Abbey fame, choose for the Golden Globes Red Carpet.

If you feel like trying something new, you too can sport Michelle Dockery’s slightly messy, wavy bob version of the chop that is trending for spring. To create the look, celebrity stylist Mara Roszak used Kérastase Resistance Spray Volumactive before rough-drying. To finish,  she set the front of Michelle’s ‘do in finger waves then curled the rest of her hair in sections.

At the other end of the spectrum is the edgy “pompadour” Julianne Hough paired with smoky eyes. Coupled with her ethereal, Pre-Fall 2013 Monique Lhuillier gown, she rocked it. Totally unexpected ! We loved it.
