Stéphane Rolland Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2012
We are covering New York Fashion Week as it rolls out but we are taking a last look at Paris with a few photos from the Front Row. For his tenth signature collection, Stéphane Rolland delivered a gorgeous lineup of evening gowns with a predominantly red, ivory and black palette.
Held at 1 Place Du Trocadero, the audience was surrounded by sculptures from Michel Deverne and featured his muse Yasmin Le Bon. There was an abundance of column gowns, some with delicate chiffon details and others with bold architectural hardware, belts and appliqués. The common theme of the event were the dramatic towering platform sandals.
Finishing the show was Mrs. Le Bon in a spectacular red jersey wedding gown with a train so enormous it took two assistants to manage it down the runway.
