New York Fashion Week Fall 2011 Wrap-Up
The shows are already starting in London but The Blonde and The Brunette took another look back on New York Fashion Week. It was a bit of a blur and there have been lots of different takes on the trends. However, we love the continuing dominance of minimalism, the black and white theme or white and black theme (whatever you prefer), lace, relaxed opulence (love it!!!) the party girl looks that are just killer, the nude leg, the brights and the experimentation in colors and patterns especially the emergence of the charcoal and garnet palette for fall. 3.1 Philip Lim, Thakoon, Jason Wu and Michael Kors are just a few of the designers who successfully appealed to a younger audience while delivering some old-world opulence. In the end, it was an exciting week.
