It’s a dark vision and it’s daring and I like it. Karl Lagerfeld has once again captured the mood and psyche of the times while simultaneously drawing on a film noir atmosphere. The collection entitled Les Allures de Chanel cleverly utilizes the arc of Coco Chanel’s design life to deliver everything from traditional Chanel tweed suits to the seductive, yet slightly sinister, day and evening wear in mostly black, grays and midnight blues with accents of fuchsia and visions in white with black.
