Drumroll! It’s not every day we get the chance to do a video tutorial with the incredibly talented, widely followed YouTube sensation and makeup guru Chrisspy. We’re BIG fans of her philosophy of empowering women with all the beauty tools you need to look your best.
The beauty universe recently aligned us and we felt it was time to share the love. The three of us met up and camped out at the José Eber Salon in Beverly Hills to play and experiment with special looks just for blondes and brunettes to launch our BnBStyle series.
The big bonus?! Sephora recently launched a brand new eyeshadow formula and customizable palette system. Lucky us! They sent The Blonde and The Brunette one of the very exclusive 80 color customizable kits and we couldn’t wait to try it out at the hands of a true makeup expert.
With over 80 different shades including four different textures (matte, shimmer, glitter and mirror) each shadow has a highly concentrated formula containing up to 70% of pigments and shimmers to provide ultimate color density.
The payoff! A revolutionary formula that provides a long-lasting 10 hour wear time. Each shadow is also enriched with white tea extract for an antioxidant & emollient action on to the eyelids. This provides much needed protection against external environmental toxins and pollutions.
In her video tutorial for The Blonde And The Brunette, Chrisspy details all the steps on how to get both looks. Here’s a few cliff notes just in case.
To highlight Kathryn, The Blonde’s gorgeous hazel eyes, Chrisspy was inspired by Sephora’s “Natural” look . She focused on peachy shades combined with a light plum accent for a great day look.
Apply eye primer to clean, bare lids and apply a White Shimmer shadow on the eye lid complimented by Blonde Ambition for the lid and brow bone using a small flat brush.
Using SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Domed Crease Brush #16, sweep Indian Summer, a peachy, soft tone, (#85) through crease.
With SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Blending Brush #27, smudge Let It Snow or a deeper plum (#54) into a winged shape and under the lower lid eye-line.
To complete the look, Chrisspy used Anastasia’s Brown Brow Shade. It’s a great way to perfectly frame your eyes.
For NJ, The Brunette’s evening look, Chrisspy channeled a “smoky eye’ that was inspired by the makeup she recently wore to the MET Chaos To Couture Punk Gala.
Apply eye primer to clean, bare lids and apply Secret Boudoir (#73) under brow bone with SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Small Shadow Brush #15.
Using SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Domed Crease Brush #16, sweep Coffee Break (#85) through crease or Moving Mocha#88.
With SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Blending Brush #27, smudge Black Lace (#54) into a winged shape.
To complete the look, Chrisspy used MAC blacktrack liner for wings and definition for an amped up evening eye. As usual, both NJ and Kathryn used Giorgio Armani Maestro foundation.
To get either look, shop any or all 80 of the Sephora Colorful Eye Shadows ($13 each) then pop your choices into one of two custom palette sizes. For day, get a 3-shade custom palette case ($14). If you’re a beauty junkie, do the 6-shade custom palette case .
