Let’s just start with OMG! I want a crown and go from there. Dolce & Gabbana knocked out the audience and their adoring, devoted fans with their Milan 2013  collection. Inspired by the  golden mosaics of Sicily’s Cathedral of Monreale, the timing could not have been more surreal with the impending resignation of Pope Benedict XVI. Using hand-beaded prints from the famed Cathedral and its Byzantine and Venetian mosiacs to the final march in lacy cardinal red dresses, it was an indulgence in Italian glamour and accessories right down to the red lips and cat eyes.

I think we can all agree it was a religious experience. Amen.
