Fall Winter 2012 Glamazon Gowns: More Oscar Contenders
Since the Oscars are around the corner, The Blonde & The Brunette gathered some of the top gowns that made it down the New York Fashion Week Runway with J. Mendel, Badgley Mischka, Marchesa, Neem Khan, Carolina Herrera and Reem Acra scoring with some notable Glamazon looks. The Red Carpet secret is it has to be eye-catching, work with one element of statement jewelry and not be too overly fashionable that viewers can’t relate. Top trends include the return of the plunging neckline accompanied by sequins, sequins and more sequins; the slender silhouette, restrained ball gowns with fitted tops and accentuated waists and then there is Marchesa. I have no idea if it’s all too much but it’s like cotton candy. Personally, I do love the new, dressy bouffant hair with the teeny, tiny hand band from Herrera and I see Angelina in the gold Naeem Khan.
