NYFW 2012 Take-Away Trends: Part 2

The Blonde and The Brunette are racing like everyone else in the fashion world to digest and opine on the New York Fashion Week 2012 Collections. We heard there are some mixed reviews as well as raves. We love what’s been happening. It’s young, vibrant and wearable. Hot trends included everything from fresh and new black and white combinations; mix and match patterns in rich shades of oxblood, tangerine and cobalt blue that made their way through many of the collections with an effortless glamour that reigned at Diane Von Furstenburg. Basic black was energized with sequins, sheer panels and the new blunt pixie haircut or the ulta-chic smooth side-part. My personal favorites are 10 Crosby by Derek Lam (and the line is named after the street his office and store are located on in New York) Proenzer Schouler and Alexander Wang. Each of these designers always hit that modern aesthetic perfectly to create new classics. Is it next Fall yet?
