Friendship Bracelets

This is the most fun I have had with a trend: The Friendship Bracelet. I know it sounds cheesy but I gathered a few girlfriends for a friendship bracelet making party. We all wanted to make our own and have some extra as gifts for our friends. Here at the Blonde and The Brunette we are seeing friendship bracelet being sold for as much as $500-$1000 in LA! OK, there may be a few diamonds in there but I was determined to make a fancy friendship bracelet. Total cost: $3.00. Once I stitched my threads together, I sewed in rhinestones and gold stud beads! Viola!

Just in case, her’s the official; definition courtesy of Wikipedia: “A friendship bracelet is a bracelet given by one person to another as a symbol of friendship. Friendship bracelets are often handmade, usually of embroidery floss or thread. There are various styles and patterns, but most are based on the same simple half-hitch knot. The making of friendship bracelets is a version of macrame.”
