It’s probably the look of the season and top model Lily Donaldson is showcasing it in the Latest edition of The Edit photographed by Ben Weller. Tough Luxe or as some call it Grunge Glamour. To get it go with lace dresses with biker boots, plaid shirts in chiffon and quirky style options from mixing sequin wool sweaters with florals.

British model Lily Donaldson, of course,  makes it look easy. However, as relaxed as she seems now, modelling didnt always come naturally to her; I really had to try to be comfortable in front of the camera because I was very shy; I used to hide behind my hair. When she recalls her first runway show, she remembers being nervous It was for London Fashion Week in 2004 and I was so nervous that I turned up an hour early. I remember asking makeup artist Val Garland in a state of panic to remind me how to walk. However, with more than ten years of experience, things have changed; Now I like becoming a different character with every shoot. The idea of transformation through fashion inspires me it’s a performance.

On her signature style, she says I’m quite the tomboy and live in jeans, plaid shirts and sneakers. Though I do like to dress up in an elegant evening gown and heels when I feel like it. Any favourite designers? I always wear Alexander Wang. His clothes are simple, cool and really comfortable. I also collect vintage pieces on my travels and wander the cities trying to find the perfect plaid shirt.

To get Lily’s effortless, chic with a rock’n’roll attitude, you can find all her inspired pieces from See by Chloe, Rosamosario, Maria Black, Junya Watanabe, Saint Laurent Paris, Givenchy and Jil Sander at Netaporter
