Louis Vuitton Resort 2012: From Fetish to Playful

From Fetish to Playful?  Remember Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2011 fetish show in Paris last March?  What a huge difference at Vuitton’s Resort 2012 today.  Sofia Coppola, the director and long time friend of Marc Jacobs, collaborated on a fun girly collection with Vuitton design director Julie de Libran at the New York 4 Seasons Hotel.  The collection was very Parisienne, with lots of red, white, and blue.  Short skirt dresses, covered with Eiffel Tower prints, fun accessories like motorcycle helmets, red and blue rain boots, and even beach bags.  The shoes were girly, fun, and so cute; especially the Red sandals with big beautiful bows all the way to the knee.  I love the grassy runway and walls; it really put us in a great summer mood.
I am sure you are going to see these pieces in lots of editorials next summer!!!
