Proenzer Schouler’s Cool New MAC Makeup Line
They’ve said “It’s not your mother’s lipstick,” and we couldn’t agree more. The coolest designers we know, Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough of Proenzer Schouler, have just entered the beauty game with a namesake limited edition collection. Known for their down right amazing clothes and brilliant brush stokes of color, their new MAC Proenza Schouler limited-edition collection and stunning packaging taps into the same ethos.
Hernandez and McCoullugh didn’t mince words when they explained, the new line is meant to be worn the same way as they send their models down the runway. Slightly “undone, not all together. ” So take your pick. If you’ve got something going on with your hair, go with just the eyeliner, the ombre blush or one of their lusciously strong lip colors.
Announced last September during New York Fashion Week, the collaboration arrived in-store and online yesterday. The line consists of four Lipsticks ($22) (two pink, a poppy red, and a vampy berry), four Nail Polishes (a pale nude, plum, a ‘nocturenell’ black, and electric coral) $17.50, two bright Pro Longwear Lip Pencils ($21) in a pink and orange red cream, two bold Blush Ombres ($30) in pink coral and vivid orange blushes, and a Pro Longwear Eyeliner ($21) in either ‘black ice’ or ‘rich experience’ brown. Their Brush ($38.50) is also a must investment.
By the way, if you haven’t guessed it by now, pinks and corals are the go-to colors this summer. The duo emphasized, they “see this makeup with one of their jackets and a pair of jeans, so it feels more balanced.” We like their style.
