Here’s the back-story. Randy and I were supposed to be front row at Monique Lhuiller’s Spring Runway Show in New York this past Saturday night and…drumroll…we mixed up the dates and our flights and had to cancel. As soon as we realized we were not going to make it we called to apologize. Guess who couldn’t be nicer and more understanding about the whole thing while she is frantically in the middle of staging her show and model fittings? Monique. So we will be at Fashion Week in February to see her Fall show. Thank you, Monique.
While this was all unfolding, I did text with Monique to explain and we talked about this collection. She was very excited about the show and I agree. It’s a brand new vision for her from the sleek ponytails to the athleticism focused on the female form. The colors are fresh. The electric blues and accents of cobalt to the bold color blocking and the absolute stunning cadmium yellow and graphic graffiti patterns for evening gowns. I love it all. It’s clean. It’s modern. It’s so Monique.
