New Arrivals: Prada Spring Summer
The Spring collections are starting to ship and The Blonde & The Brunette will be updating you as things happen. Prada Spring/Summer is starting to arrive at retail stores (like Neiman’s) and Prada Boutiques this week. The sad news is Barneys New York will only carry Prada shoes. Ready-to-wear and handbags have already been replaced. Barney’s has a new CEO, Mark Lee, and the Prada exit was apparently planned before he arrived and “stemmed from the unwillingness of Barneys to consider leased departments”.
Barneys has a “no-vendor-leased-space” policy which they feel “enables them to retain their point of view”. I have to say, I kind of agree. Barneys has always been great at editing collections and brings in some of the most unique elements. This time, I think everyone loses — the consumer, Barneys and Prada.

says:– Love Rachel Bilson’s hair there. Not so much a fan of her bangs now I personally think that hair is best when it doesn’t look oobvius. Just like make-up: you can tell someone is wearing it, but it shouldn’t be your first thought when looking at them. The more oobvius the haircolor, the less classy and chic it is to me Good luck Sara!
