NYFW Spring 2014: Front Line Trends

If you have any doubts about how Spring 2014 trends are taking shape, you shouldn’t. It’s black, white, dazzling shades of blue, preppy (which some say is going to be on the outs), a touch of the aloha spirit and California,with lots of dark edgy minimalism and sequins to boot. The Row, who are hotter than ever, went eclectic nomad, so we’ll see how that plays out. Narcisco Rodriquez seems back on his game with stunning silhouettes while Diesel Black Gold has some fun with rock ‘n roll as they channel the ever popular “dirty girl” vibe right now.

The big question everyone is asking is “will electric blue shadows make a comeback?”  We have no idea. Still, at the end of the day, I always have the same question. How did everyone get the same memo? But a special “rah, rah, sis boom bah” for Marc by Marc Jacobs. We just fall more in love with his creativity with every show.
