Reed Krakoff: Fashion and Function

At The Blonde and The Brunette, we are always looking for new “it” bags that work with our busy lives. Translation. That means they look great, are highly functional and can even hold an ipad or computer.  Enter Reed Krakoff.  Last year, the former head designer of Coach,  launched his own signature line of handbags,shoes and ready-to-wear designs which are now carried at Saks Fifth Avenue and other locations.

Two of his distinctive styles have quickly become classics.  The RK Signature Boxer Bag at $990 and up, which Ashlee and I both love in Cinnabar (above) is inspired by the wrapping of a boxing glove.  With exquisite stitching and details, it’s also available for fall with striking color blocking treatments.  The latest addition to the line is the Editor Tote I and II which denotes the larger and smaller sizes.  It’s an extension of the Boxer collection and is the perfect professional tote with iconic minimal hardware.  Prices range from $1490 to $1990.  Two of our favorite Fall versions are the printed snow leopard and the classic in black.  Check it out at Reed Krakoff.
