Vogue + Saks = Great Shoe Event

Since shoes are even a hotter accessory than bags these days, about a week and a half ago Saks and Vogue joined forces to roll out the Red Carpet for a very fun 90210 shoe event.  The cocktail hour was cleverly orchestrated with models strategically placed atop pedestals showcasing the best of the collections.  It was actually musical chairs with the shoes as the center of attention.  The models constantly changed shoes and switched seats all to the rocking sound of a great DJ.

The hot trend was platforms in bright colors and metallics dominated along with lots of sexy, strappy versions.  All perfect for Spring and Summer.  I was most impressed with how brightly colored shoes and lipstick just made any outfit pop or looked great with dressy shorts.  I even bumped into the B&B’s style guru Cameron Silver as he was meeting and greeting lots of old and new friends.
