Yes, Gluten-Free Macaroons.
You know we love sweets at The Blonde and The Brunette. We just discovered a gluten-free alternative and it’s a macaroon. If you don’t know what that is, the macaroon, also called the Paris macaroon, is a sweet cookie made with two almond meringue discs filled with a layer of butter cream, jam or panache filling. Duvenger in Los Angles has developed a handmade, gluten free choice using only natural and organic ingredients. Of course, we had a taste test and they are just perfection.
Flavors include salted caramel (no one had to twist my arm to try this), chocolate, coffee, praline, vanilla (new) and the very seasonal pumpkin pie. They are also perfect for buffets, party favors, hostess gifts and as a tower at special events. To order or visit the store, click here. Prices range from $5.00 for a 3-pack, $9,50 for a 6-pack and $18 for a $12 pack. And by the way, we moved from cupcakes and cookies to fonuts and macaroons as the hot new Beverly Hills edible trend.
