We’re home for the long haul. No one knows how long this quarantine will last, but what we do know, is that it is helping save lives, so there is no greater mission at the moment. Besides work, we have rounded up 10 enjoyable ways to make the most out of this everlasting Groundhogs Day.
Since the gym is off limits and they just closed down public parks, it’s time to bring your workouts home with you. After doing some personal research I’ve noticed that just about every since trainer, class, yoga instructor etc, has been offering a daily workout routine. The best part? Most of them are free. Bless these awesome instructors keeping us accountable.
Grab the mixer & take your mind off the news and into the kitchen. It’s time to bake up something delicious. Not a baker? Now is the perfect time to “try” out those recipes you haven’t had time to get to, and it is a good way to bring the family together, or have a little distraction.
Catch Up On Sleep
You read that right! I have made get enough sleep a check on my “to do” list. Trying to get those recommended 8 hours of sleep can be difficult between work, school , kids and whatever else life throws at you. Being home allows you to take those guilt-free and much needed naps to get get yourself feeling your best.
Get Fresh Air
Get outside and enjoy some fresh air. I can not stress how important it is for your mental health.
Binge On New Shows
Now is the perfect time to get caught up on your favorite netflix shows. Always been too intimidated to start a show that is already 8 seasons deep? Now is the time! Up next on my list? Sex Education, Tiger King and I plan on FINALLY diving into Peaky Blinders.
Arts + Crafts
This is great if you have kids, but even if you don’t, getting the creative side of your brain going is so important, so let your imagination flow during this down time.
Last Thursday was the official start to spring, which means some spring cleaning is never a bad option! Clean out the garage, closet attic or whatever else needs a little refresh. You have all the time in the world, and no excuses.
Learn A New Language
Hello, Hola, Salut, Guten Tag. Can you imagine coming out the other end of this speaking another language. WHAT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT. There are plenty of sites and apps such as Duolingo, Memrise, OpenCulture and Babble that offer online resources and tools to learn new languages for free.
Finish Home Projects
There always seems to be something to do around the house. It’s time to finish everything you’ve started.
