Beauty:The New Chop Crop
Hey. I’m a huge Marc Jacobs fan and his Joan Jett “chop” haircut that hit his Fall 2013 runway show. It’s picking up speed. I am starting to see women plunk themselves in their stylists chairs requesting this very cool rock ‘n roll look. It works perfectly with this season’s must-haves from violets, sequins (for day or night), the borrowed from the boys overcoat and faux/fur accents.
The 411: Texture and messing up your hair a bit ( kinda sorta rolled out of bed but didn’t) is critical. To get it, try the new Alterna Volume Mousse. Add it to wet hair then blow dry straight. Once dry add mousse again to give the look real texture. Make sure you do your makeup with an emphasis on a heavy brow, dramatic eyes (and we love Marc Jacobs newly released Style-Eye Con N0. 7 with seven plush violet shadows) and a nude lip and a bit of lip gloss shine.
“So put another dime in the jukebox, baby. I Love Rock ‘N Roll. Ow!”
