No surprise. My love for Jason Wu and all he creates is close to hero worship. The only question with his Fall 2013 RTW question is, as Ashlee said, “What will NJ Wear?” If I could, almost everything. So why the raves? Besides his two inaugural gowns, and model Stephanie Seymour starring in his upcoming campaign, in Wu’s own words, this is his “most womanly, most grown-up” collection describing it as “extreme femininity”. That’s right in my wheel house.
A serious and seriously flattering line-up. Wu marched out mega glamour. He had it all. Swinging cocktail dresses with pleats. Nipped waists. My favorite palette in the world, black and white paired with a scattering of strong red. Seductive and daring evening looks with lace and sheers. This time he focusing on plunging necklines contrasted with high collars (a personal favorite). Even a top with long train over capri pants. OH, I adore that. Where can I even wear it? I’m not sure it matters.
