Givenchy:A Religious Experience

With “get thee to a nunnery” as a subliminal theme, Givenchy Creative Director, Riccardo Tisci,  said he was going “back to the roots” of the House of Givenchy. He did just that with an elegant collection worthy of style icon Audrey Hepburn. Injecting a refreshing baby blue palette, black and white (of course) and a touch of dove gray. This time he added ruffles, the signature metallic touches from last season, but moved from the collar to the shoulders, to evoke angel wings, and took us to the heart  of the Vatican with designs reminiscent of  church vests, collars and bishop sleeves, all with a touch of the sexy.

The choir just sang with joy.
