I was always a big fan of Robert Rodriguez (and I bet you were too) and now I get to be one again. After being out of the fashion scene for a while, he’s back with a whole new look, attitude, and name! Relaunched under the new moniker R/R Studio, the advanced contemporary collection has my name on it because, as the designer told WWD, it’s “relaxed and modern in its approach; an easy way of dressing.” Yup, that’s what us gals want these days and paired with what else but our sneaks.
Why the special shout out? Rodriguez has filled the void of cool, easy to wear clothes that still make a fashion statement. The collection is filled with modern, boyish basics that we could actually see ourselves wearing on the daily! Perfect for the office to the gym to the night out back and forth trek. The collection consists of over-sized knits, plaid outerwear, leather and suede trousers, and mixes in delicate blouses and romantic skirts too! All in premium Italian fabrics, no less. Stylish, but still realistic. We like. Debuting shortly at Barneys and Harrods, knits start at $254 with a stunning color-blocked mink coat as the ultimate indulgence. My favorite looks just might be the black lingerie slip dress and the slouchy plaid overcoat. See for yourself. Congrats Robert and welcome back. We missed you.
