Norma Kamali: In The Swim

With the summer officially underway, our thoughts once again drift to the perfect swimsuit. No one does it better than the amazing Norma Kamali. A champion of new technologies, the New York-based designer has been an expert in beautifully crafted beachwear since 1974.

That means she actually knows the female form and how to create a flattering poolside or beach look.  They are actually the only suits I generally wear, especially because regardless of your body type or if you’ve not been in the gym quite as much as you’d like, these swimsuits flatter.

This summer’s collection is a personal favorite with a nod to the ’40s ‘pin-up’ silhouette using bold fabrics and cutout details.  It’s  a perfect way to still  look good and make a statement choice.
