Our Favorite Super Bowl Spot: Audi’s Uncompromising Doberhauhua

Even before I’ve seen all the amazing Super Bowl ads, this is my favorite. It’s the Audi “Doberhauhau” spot. It’s about a fictional Franken dog that’s embodies the risks of compromise.  I couldn’t get it out of my head. Here’s the thing, my little Astro, a rescue from a puppy mill, who passed away last year, really was a Doberhauhau with the exact personality of this newly minted mythical dog. Astro, has ironically been immortalized by the Audi folks from his gnarly personality, pseudo biting, and semi-destructive behavior to his endearing moxie.

Watch this clip for the best laugh in a long, long time and to get a glimpse into the BIG personality of my beloved little guy. Finally, no joke. Never breed a doberman with a Chihuahua (which also is the title of the spot).
