Saint Laurent Delivers Casually Extravagent Fall/Winter 2014

While watching the Saint Laurent fashion show, the feeling I got was: “there’s no place like home”.  I’m sure that had to do with the detail of the red shiny Mary Jane’s and the low-heeled boots.

At the moment, ‘Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent’ is my favorite designer. He’s turned what was formerly know as Yves Saint Laurent into a very trendy, hip, and young brand for millennial gals and guys, like you and I, with lots of eighties-rock influences.

His Fall/Winter 2014 collection, which hit the Paris runway last week,  is young, fun, and very grungy rock & roll. The dresses, skirts and capes (which reminded me of Peter Pan’s outfit) were A-line shaped, styled on top of black thick stockings, which he turned  into a “school girl” feeling. I also recently learned that Slimane is a master in designing the perfect tight leather motorcycle jacket, a must have piece in every closet!
