What “Shwood” You Do, To Help New York?

The Blonde and The Brunette love seeing companies take action towards creating a better earth. There is nothing better than helping those in a time of need. This week, we wanted to feature a company we are very familar with: Shwood Eyewear, for doing their part in aiding to New York in their time of need.

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Shwood Eyewear has established a Recovery Initiative to bring aid to those in need. For a limited time, Shwood will offer their classic Canby frame in Santos Mahogany, with proceeds going to the American Red Cross. Each frame is engraved with the Latin phrase “E pluribus unum” which translates to “many uniting as one.” Designer Eric Singer explains, “Often people want to help but aren’t sure how to. We wanted to offer a way for people to come together for a humanitarian cause.” Prices of the limited pair range from $155 – $195 depending on lenses chosen. Shwood will also donate 10% of all other sunglass sales made in the next 30 days.
