4 Bold Lips for Fall
Well, since we’ve finally made it into the Fall season, we finally get to bring back the bold lips. We’re predicting a classic red (which is always in style), a deep violet, which we have been seeing all over the runways for months, a peachy nude (our favorite), that sets off any skin tone, and last but not least, we predict the pouty pinks will be in for Fall. I have bought a few ‘expensive’ lipsticks so far, YSL, Dior, Estee Lauder, Guerlin,.. but I have been a bit dissapointed with the quality. If I go for a matte lipstick it dries out my lips, and I go for a more shiny one, the color doesnt last long… What are your favorite lipsticks and brands for during the day and/or for going out?

Great hearing from you. We generally agree that many expensive lipsticks are not necessarily worth the price. However, that being said, we are actually big fans of MAC (the mineralize rich lipstick or one of their frosts) and most of us wear one of their shades for day along with creme and wet pearl shades from Vincent Longo (who we know personally) http://vincentlongo.com/lips.html. Another favorite is anything from Giorgio Armani as we know their beauty line and director very well. The quality is exceptional. If your lips dry out make sure you add a gloss or select a creme formula from one of the lines. For day we like paler shades and vamp it up more for evening. Look at the hints above for this fall. We’ve been see more peaches for day. I just met with Gina Brooks, who is Madonna’s make-up artist, and she does a bold red lip for day but then tones down the rest of her make-up. I’m going to the big Princess Grace/Dior Black Tie event on Wednesday evening and will probably do bold eyes and a peachy lipstick. Hope that helps! xo NJ and Lauren
