Express Yourself: The Target x Eddie Borgo Collaboration

We love nothing better than a good collab. Our new fave is Target teaming up with edgy New York jewelry designer, Eddie Borgo (who has even dressed our very own NJ on occasion including pieces for the punk-themed 2013 Met Gala). Just released, the limited-edition collection of completely customizable accessories features jewelry, bags, belts & wall art! Even better, each piece is ready to be personalized with a variety of charms, beads or studs.

Enlisting the stunning Poppy Delevingne as the face of campaign, the two (Poppy and Eddie above) channel the festival vibe of it all from the vegan leather zip packs and bucket bags, inspired from his mother’s sixties and seventies crafting guides. Each one boasts a variety of links so you can customize them with all sorts of add-on charms and buildable “totems” in hematite, gunmetal, quartz, pyrite, cherrywood, hand-poured resin, semi-precious rose, jade, and howlite. As NJ will tell you, those are Eddie’s favorite go-to materials for his signature looks.

The collection features the designer’s signature aesthetic – trademark pyramids, geometric shapes, and symbols inspired by sculptural art and architecture – and on-trend textures, colors and finishes. It gets even better. The best part of this collection is how easy it is to customize/create your own unique pieces! Simply select a jewelry or accessory item, such as a handbag, necklace or earrings, and style it with a variety of charms, studs, and totems.

Borgo told Vogue, “When designing this collection, I was inspired by the idea of modernizing the 1960s and 1970s craft culture and empowering people to be creative. It’s been exciting to bring the spirit of this collection to life, and I can’t wait to see how Target’s guests make it their own.”
