Pops Of Color With Hair Chalking
Rose Gold highlights are a huge trend among our favorite celebs (i.e., January Jones (above), Kate Bosworth, Ashley Tisdale, and Dakota Fanning) including a few examples sported at The Met gala last week. We turned to Jennifer J at Juan Juan to introduce Teh Blodne and the Brunettw to the “how-to’s” of mastering hair chalking technique. It is an easy at-home way to do color highlights that wash out with shampoo and do not damage the texture or color in your hair. The product Jennifer recommends to get those rose gold highlights is called Color Rub and it looks like a pressed powder. It is so simple to apply, you just rub the colored powder into your hair. You can even use hairspray if you want. I didn’t and the color stayed in all day and didn’t rub off on my clothes. We figured you were wondering about that. Just put a towel over your clothes when applying!
If you haven’t noticed, we hope you like our latest addition to The Blonde and The Brunette, how-to videos! Here is the video that Jennifer J and I filmed with Michael Yo at Juan Juan Salons to show how to get this hair trend! One last style hint, notice how January carefully complimented her lipstick to the chalking.

says:I’m so happy you’re sharing this wonderfull product! i’ve been afraid to colour my hair with semi-permanent haircolouring also when the colour starts to fade (for pink its pretty) but any other colour looks just dirty and then you’re stuck with that until the colour is completely washed out, to try a new colour.. but now i don’t need to dye my hair! and try as many colours as i’d like, thanx so much ^^
